Spooky Short Story Weekend - Edgar Allan Poe-a-thon! 2nd - 3rd November 2024
Join us to celebrate spooky season by listening to one or more of Poe's short stories in a lovely discussion group 👻
You are invited to the first Audrey Poe-A-Thon!
Prepare to be thrilled, chilled, and thoroughly spooked this Halloween by the glorious writing of Edgar Allan Poe!
Our next short story weekend will take place on the weekend of 2nd/3rd November: the perfect time to celebrate spooky season!
There are four short stories to choose from in the Audrey catalogue:
🐈⬛ The Black Cat
🖤 The Tell-Tale Heart
🐦⬛ The Raven
🥃 The Cask of Amontillado
From basement betrayals to beating hearts, talking birds and other ominous animals these short stories contain some of the best horror short stories written by the master of the mysterious and macabre, Edgar Allan Poe.
The audiobooks are guided by the wonderful and fascinating Lucy Holmes, narrated by William Roberts and illustrated by Drew Frankie Victorie. And for this weekend we have commissioned guest guide intros from some of the biggest names in Poe:
Chris Semtner, curator of The Poe Museum introduces The Black Cat
Henry Eliot of Read the Classics introduces The Tell-Tale Heart
Levi Leland of Edgar Allan Poe Rhode Island introduces The Raven
Patrick Hansma of Patrick’s Rare Books introduces The Cask of Amontillado
All you have to do is decide which one you fancy listening to! Whether you read one, two, three or all of these majestic stories is up to you!
